Han joined Datum’s Chicago team in 2023 after 10 years with Skidmore, Owings & Merrill. He has managed engineering teams in Chicago, San Francisco, New York and Shanghai as the lead structural engineer. Han has built strong client relationships with architects and consultants for projects in the US, China, Australia and Taiwan (ROC). His expertise includes structural design of supertalls, performance-based nonlinear analysis, and parametric design of geometry-intensive structures.

He received his Bachelor of Architecture from the Tongji University in Shanghai, China and both a Master of Science in Civil and Structural Engineering and a Master of Architecture from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
