Jim has been involved with and led the structural design of some of the world’s most fascinating buildings, and his background includes experience in the design of tall buildings and complicated structures throughout the world. Jim is a leader in the Structural Engineers Association of Illinois, and also involved with the Chicago Committee on High Rise Buildings, and has co-authored more than a dozen technical papers on structural engineering projects and innovations. He also is heavily involved at his alma mater, The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, teaching classes for both the School of Architecture and the Civil and Environmental Engineering department. He has more than 25 years in the engineering profession.
