UTA West Campus Student Garage

The UT Arlington West Campus Student Garage is a 5-level structure with a 1,500-car capacity. The garage also accommodates a small police department office. The owner’s mandated that at least 750 cars had to be accommodated in the garage by the beginning of the fall semester, just 12 months from contract award.

Due to the tight schedule, the design-build team selected a garage with two vehicle ramps and an expansion joint separating the north and south halves of the structure. This allowed the contractor to construct and open the south half to successfully meet the fall semester partial completion requirement.
