Galen joined Datum in 1981 and he provides leadership, technical expertise, and management for the project teams. His four decades of experience includes design of many project types including higher education, health care, commercial buildings, libraries, and parking garages. His penchant for excellence was demonstrated early on, when he graduated with honors in architectural engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.

Signature projects in Galen’s portfolio include, Hutto Performing Arts Center, the Austin City Hall garage and tunnels, the Austin State Capitol restoration and expansion and Seton Southwest Hospital.
